Major Update!

Ok so I need to do some major catching up! I forgot about my blog for a long time until someone reminded me I had one! haha So here's what's going on... I live with Lee and Ashley now and it's been great! I forgot how much I loved having Ashley around for girl talk ;) I am finishing my Associates Degree this semester... trudging through Micro Biology... ugh! I love school though and I've made some great new friends. I got to see my neices for Halloween and they were darling! Life has been crazy with a lot of unexpected turns but i know that it's all just part of the journey. Someday maybe I'll understand it a little better ;)
So here's a few things I've been up to...
We had a black and white dance for the stake and these are some of my friends, Eric and Nick. They called this the Chelsea sandwhich! haha

Me and some of my girlfriends from the singles ward.
We had a great time getting our groove on!
This is me all dressed up for Witches Night Out! It was a great time and Ashley does miracles with make up! If you've never been, you should try it out next year!
The whole witchy gang! Such a fun girls night!

My super friend Becky and I had a blast! Little do others know... we dress like this all the time ;)

This is Tyler. We got set up by mutual friends and spend a lot of time together over the last while. Ambrielle loved him! I think she mostly liked sprawling out and watching tv with him!

This is us together. He was pretty awesome but in the end, it just wasn't right...
we are still friends though ;)

Yeah I was a princess... didn't have time for anything creative so I just used a dress from a high school dance I went to. Still fits... haven't changed a bit ;) I won a word search contest at my office Halloween party and got a cool candy dish! Oh and did I mention there was candy inside?!

the latest...

Well I'm still in the process of moving in with Lee and Ashley. So far it's been pretty great! I miss my queen size bed but other than that it's pretty fun. As of friday night Nathan and I broke up. He was so great but it just wasn't meant to be. I feel like it was the right decision even though I will miss him. I have a new niece JENNA! She's so darling and I'm so excited to have another niece to play with! Anyway that's what's new with me... :)

4th of July in Dallas!

Here's the basic rundown of my 4th of July weekend in Dallas with Nathan!
I flew in Friday morning and we went to lunch and went to the mall. It was fun because I was helping Nathan to pick out some new clothes! I love shopping for other people! He took my advice and got some new shirts and jeans and some flip flops... sexy ;) Starting off our 4th of July Celebration with a picture ;)

For lunch we went to Joe's Crab Shack and Nathan has his first taste of Alaskan King Crab legs! I am not as skilled as my mother with cracking them open but we managed just fine. Nathan pricked his hand on one of them and it was still red when I left a couple days later. But I'm sure my mom would agree that it's worth it ;)

On the 4th of July we went to the State Fair Park. There were some cool museums that were free all day and lots of booths and stuff. There were pretty parks and a butterfly habitat even. This is a picture of us hanging out in the shade at the park. Unfortunately the "Texas Star" ferris wheel was not running that day :( It was so hot and I got pretty sick from being outside so much. We had to take refuge in a little cafe and had some ice cream. The fireworks lasted a half hour and they were amazing! At the end of the day I was still feeling sick and Nathan was really sweet and gave me a back massage and a headache massage that I kinda showed him how to do. He took good care of me :) I felt bad that I was so blah that day but he was great about it :)

On Sunday we wanted to go to the Dallas temple, just to see it. It was cool because it's nestled in this nice little neighborhood away from the city. It was a gorgeous temple even though we could only see it through the gate since it was Sunday.

Monday was just a random day. We just hung out and took our time relaxing and talking. We did a lot of driving around just wasting time until we had to go the airport. We were both kinda feeling down knowing that I was leaving and it'd be a while before we'd see eachother again. We sat at the airport for a while just waiting till the last minute we could until I had to catch my plane. These weekends are nice but the goodbyes are never fun.

It was a great trip and hopefully the next couple months will go by fast.

Up and Coming

UPDATE ON THE LAST MONTH....

We had a family reunion this week but I was only able to attend for one evening.

I spent some time with my dad for Father's day at his barbeque.

I spent a few days last week with Nathan's mother who was in town for her daughter's band camp at BYU. We went to dinner and she met my family. It was really fun to meet her and she's very nice. Can't wait to meet the rest of his family ;)

I hit my 3 year anniversary at my job. Yep I've been here for 3 years! Pretty crazy huh!?

Other than that I've just been enjoying the wet weather and low temperatures. I'm not looking forward to the summer!

AS FOR THINGS THAT ARE COMING UP...

Well my brother and his wife will be havin a baby sometime in the next few weeks! I can't wait to meet her ;)

I'm going back to Dallas to see Nathan for the 4th of July!!! I think it'll be a blast and I am just really excited to see him again. Distance is really hard to deal with sometimes.

My lease is up at my apartment at the end of July and it looks like I'll be moving again. It's not decided yet where... but I'll know after I get back from Dallas ;)

Anyway that's what's going on with me :)

So I was at work today just pluggin along and I got a page to come to the front desk. Awaiting me were these amazingly beautiful flowers! I've never had flowers sent to me before so I was completely surprised :) They were from my wonderful boyfriend Nathan thanking me for a fun weekend. Isn't that the cutest thing ever!? They smell amazing and they look gorgeous!

My trip to Dallas...

Well it finally happened! I went to Dallas over Memorial Day Weekend to see Nathan, the best boyfriend ever! :) We spent our time roaming the streets of downtown Dallas just exploring. We went to some cool museums, an aquarium, and ate at some awesome restaurants. We also took the time to just chill and watch movies and talk. It was so fun to spend 3 days with him, but it definitly didn't seem like enough.

My favorite story is about our first kiss... it's really awesome...

On the first day I was there, we were walking to a restaurant a few blocks away. We hadn't even held hands or anything at this point. We came up to a guy holding a bundle of roses and he he said, "here miss, this is on the house!" I reached out and took the bouquet. He said, "...if you kiss him." Nathan and I just kinda looked at eachother and I went in for the kill! I've never been the one to kiss a guy first but it was kinda fun. After we kissed the guy said, "woooo she likes kissin on you! Free for the lady, $2 for the gentleman." Haha. Nathan had just spent the last of his cash on parking but I had $1 on me. The guy switched out my bundle for a single pink rose. So I paid for my own rose! haha now isn't that a great story!?

The scupture garden at the Dallas Museum of Art. It was really pretty and green there.
A cool little spot in Downtown Dallas. There's artsy stuff all over the city.
This is one of my favorites.

We went to the Dallas World Aquarium. It also had zoo animals. It was really neat because you felt like you were in the jungle the whole time! We spent a half hour just sitting in the tunnel where the sharks swim all around you. It was really cool!

Our little photoshoot was fun and some turned out pretty darn cute!

It was so hard to say goodbye. We just sat at the airport till I had to get through security. Wasn't fun, but we know we'll see eachother again, even if it's not for a while.

How life can change...

Well I haven't blogged in a while... not even sure anyone looks at it anyway but I guess it's fun either way. I moved to a new townhouse in February with 2 new roommates. It's been so much fun and it's a great place to live! I even love the sound and the shaking walls as the trains go by every night. I finished my spring semester at Weber State.... haven't gotten my final grades yet but I'm pretty sure I got 2 B's and 3 A's so I felt pretty good about that! I'm taking the summer off school due to lack of funding but should be finishing my Associates after Fall Semester. I'm still at the same job, come June 1st I'll have been here 3 years... wow how time flies!

After swearing off dating for a year (starting this January) I already missed my goal. The plan was to spend a year without dating of any kind but I guess there were other plans in store for me. I have struggled with telling people exactly how this all happened but now I feel that it doesn't matter how, it only matters that it did happen, that it is happening and I couldn't be happier! About a year ago I was bored and needed to find some new people to talk to. I got on to the LDS singles website, strictly to make some new friends, not for the purpose of dating. I met 3 people that way and I am still friends with all of them today! So it can be useful for making friends. One of them is Nathan. He's from Missouri. He started talking to me and we have kept in touch for the last year through emails and instant messaging. We've been a support to eachother, giving dating advice, listening to our complaints, and just being good friends. I felt like I could open up to him really easily because he was so far away and there was no threat or worry of him judging me or knowing any of the people I talked to him about. We became good friends and then he left to go into the Air Force in January. While in Basic Training he didn't have ways to communicate with me. When he got done and moved on to his next level of training in Mississippi, he found me on facebook and we started talking. This time we exchanged phone numbers and he called me, this was at the beginning of April. At this point I still didn't really have any intention of dating him, he was way too far away anyway. We have talked on the phone everyday since then. Even though we've never met face to face, we have grown really close through our many phone calls. We've talked on webcams so we know what we look like and how we act and so on. He's amazing and I couldn't be happier to be his girlfriend, even though we're miles apart and have never even hugged! I'm planning on going to visit him when he goes to his next level of training in Texas. We're thinking it'll be around June. Believe me I know this all sounds crazy but we are so good for eachother and I couldn't be happier... well unless he got stationed in Utah at Hill AFB... then I'd be over the moon happy :)
